Welcome to the Response Ability for Journalism Education website.

The Response Ability for Journalism Education project aims to provide students with the information and background knowledge they need to confidently approach news stories about suicide or mental illness in the future. 

In recent years the Response Ability for Journalism Education project team have been working with lecturers to include resource material in the curriculum that introduces students to the professional and ethical issues involved in reporting suicide and mental illness
